Deburring Machine DB1000H

The Muratec DB1000H is a specialized disk-type deburring machine launched by Murata Machinery, Ltd. (Muratec) in July 2023, designed for efficient removal of dross, spatter, and burrs, as well as chamfering sheet metal parts in a single pass. It is specifically engineered to handle hard dross from laser cutting, which is often difficult for traditional brush-type machines, and is aimed at improving processing speeds while reducing labor.

Key Features and Capabilities

  • 4DD Processing System: The machine uses a unique 4-disk configuration (two in front, two in back) to remove heavy dross and apply chamfering simultaneously.
  • High Precision: Features automatic, high-precision detection of the disc height via an internal photo-electric fiber sensor, ensuring a height level accuracy within $\pm$0.04 mm.
  • Adhesive Conveyor: Employs a non-slip (adhesive) conveyor system, allowing it to process small or oddly shaped workpieces securely.
  • Advanced Safety Features: Includes automatic sheet thickness inspection, preventing operation if the material exceeds set thicknesses, and automatic stop functions to prevent processing errors.
  • High Efficiency & Compact Design: Compared to previous models (like the DB1000S), the DB1000H is designed to be more compact (approx. 1/2 the footprint) and energy-efficient (approx. 1/4 the electrical capacity, roughly 5.6 kVA).

High precision length measurement with fiber sensor

When you press “Measure” from the brush setting screen, the brush rotates and descends to determine the machining standard position.
The “Measure” process can also be selected from “at startup” and “arbitrary“ options, and it is possible to measure the length at each startup or use it only when desired.
The fiber sensor detects the tip of the rotating brush and determines the brush height origin.
The precise setting capability of the origin positions on this machine ensure the reliable performance of this machine.

New 3×2 brush layout

With a new 3×2 brush layout, effective deburring area has been greatly improved. Burrs and corners can be ground from all angles by combining the trajectory and rotation axes.
